I love it ... straight from the tavern over to the lake. Delicious beer and totally uncomplicated, how a beer garden should be. Perfect for a break from cycling.

During this difficult time the Fischmeister team makes a great effort to keep the spirit and quality of food alive. The Fensterverkauf is a great idea and we very much enjoyed the quality of food you get for your money. I know, the usual stingy German would complain that for a takeaway it’s too expensive, but believe me -it’s worth every cent. Well done Fischmeister team!

Currently "to go". In summer the pretty location is attractive, parking spaces and access are very limited. Bike or ship!

Great location, absolute recommendation to sit directly on the water at sunset and drink a wine. We went there Sunday evening without a reservation and dusted off the last seat. The food came exactly 2 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately far too fast for the prices, nothing was freshly prepared here.

Cake in their garden was delicious and it’s a beautiful spot, but I lined for 35 minutes at the self service hut to get it, even though it wasn’t crazy busy and not even all tables were occupied. Everything just felt incredibly slow.

Only the beer garden was open, but it was really good. Directly at the Ambach pier. Good beer and a few selected, very good dishes and super nice staff. Great view of the lake

Positive: very nice ambience outside - right on the lake (small riverside road in between). Inside rather spartan Bavarian. Negative: Very high-priced for quality and taste rather average dishes (quite bland - adding more salt didn't bring the desired effect). Service very friendly but unskilled and had to be reminded of orders. I should have left my money elsewhere that evening and won't be back.

Very pleasant atmosphere. A fantastic look. Courteous service excellent food. I can only recommend it.

Perfect location on Lake Starnberg. Great menu, the locals appreciate the quality. In the evening the garden is jam-packed, table reservations recommended. Little extra: chairs and tables right by the lake (you can hang your feet in the water), get a glass of wine or coffee or beer or ... and enjoy the lake with a view of the mountains in the sun.

While this place is supposedly good for dinner, I would not recommend it for lunchtime. The food is expensive but not good. Everything is precooked and reheated. It’s self service at lunchtime and we had to stand in line for 30min although there were not that many people. There is no proper service and we had a dog bowl on our table that was not removed before we took our seats. That was pretty disgusting. When the took it away they didn’t even clean the table afterwards and blamed it on „the kids“. All in all a pretty bad, yet expensive experience. The only nice thing was the view onto lake Starnberg.

Quaint restaurant with a small menu, unusual dishes and very tasty. Something completely different! Highly recommended!

Eaten tonight without a reservation. Fortunately there was still room inside. We had a good dinner for dinner. Two main courses, two coughs for dessert and four drinks = 60EU.

Although a real hotspot, the fish master has retained its authenticity. The kitchen is down to earth and even turns the classic roast pork into something special. The price structure has remained fair despite the sometimes heavy rush. So in summer and winter it's still a worthwhile destination, maybe not necessarily on Sunday;)

Unfortunately the extremely romantic and beautiful setting is overshadowed by moderate/poor service and quite overpriced food

My absolute favorite restaurant on Lake Starnberg! Finest fish specialties lovingly prepared. Prices absolutely ok for this quality and the location right on the lake. Parking is rather scarce, but for this experience you also like to torment ;-)

We came across the restaurant on Lake Starnberg by accident and were received very friendly by the staff. On our requests for food and drink was great and so we had a very nice lunch overlooking the lake. Very clear repetition factor.

Quaint restaurant with good service and delicious food. Both the roast pork and the vegan risotto were good. Topped up, the whole day would come from a delicious four course meal, for a top price of $ 40.

Excellent food, a lot of attention to details and very cozy. Perfect.

there‘s no other place that laid back where i‘d rather quench my thirst for a helles on a hot summer day than in this cozy beer garden wonderland - amazing beer & amazing spot make for bavarian tranquility at its very finest

Simply the best fish restaurant on Lake Starnberg, where it is worthwhile to drive there from Munich.

A good range of fish dishes and more, a shady beer garden and the pier make this a delightful place for a nice meal or Brotzeit.

Good service and great traditional local food. Recommend going with someone who speaks German :)

My favourite Bavarian restaurant! Organic kitchen, excellent cakes, good wine. I did celebrate my 40th birthday there and will celebrate my 80th there as well, I promise.

Super! They have vegetarian dishes as well! Really nice after a hike. Then you can take the boat to Stanberg.
